1st XV v Hinckley – Saturday 7th November 2026

Lymm travel to Leicestershire on Saturday to play Hinckley, a club that Lymm have not beaten in the 4 previous encounters between the sides. With Hinckley currently sitting in 4th place on the table, but just one point adrift from the leaders, the Midlanders will certainly start as firm favourites on their home turf. Especially as they are currently on a 7-match unbeaten run, having only lost the opening match of the season.

Whilst the two matches played last season, on paper, look to have been comfortable wins for Hinckley, the reality was that Lymm were very much in both matches at half-time and, indeed, in the away fixture were leading as the match entered the final quarter. That match though will probably be remembered most by those who made the trip to Leicester Road, for the mayhem that followed the Lymm team bus breaking down in the entrance to the club, forcing spectators to ditch their vehicles on the grass verges of the B4668!

Lymm will be hoping to build on the strong performance, especially in the first 30 minutes, they served up last time out against Hornets, and play the sort of fast expansive game that has hitherto reaped rewards – whilst being competitive for the full 80 minutes.

For those who like their rugby nearer home:

Lymm 2nd XV are at home to Chester 2nd XV KO 2:30pm

Lymm Eagles game against Dukinfield 2nd XV , opponents conceded, so walkover win to Lymm.
