Touch rugby is a great way to Keep Your Boots On as the RFU are so keen for so many of you to do! For those that are preparing to or have already hung up their boots, Touch is a fun and friendly way to keep fit and stay involved with rugby. For the younger members of our club it is a great way to stay fit and improve your handling and footwork during the off-season. As Touch is a minimal contact version of rugby it means that men, women, boys and girls of all ages can play on the same pitch as equals!
Although we primarily focus on social Touch and play all year round we do also enter some local competitions and play in Spring and Summer leagues, endorsed by England Touch, where we have enjoyed much success in recent years.
All club members are welcome to join in (we ask that U14s and under are accompanied by a parent/guardian) with our social Touch sessions at 8:15pm on Thursdays at Crouchley Lane. We currently have members from the M&J (both children and mums!!), Squash, Hockey, Social, Senior Rugby and VP sections of the club, in addition to members who just join the club for Touch. It has been particularly pleasing to see 3 members of the club representing England at the recent Touch Wolrd Cup in Malaysia as well as a number of our U16&17 players representing North of England All Stars and England U18s in national Touch competitions.
We have our own social media sites for upto date information:
