Former Lymm Colt Mitchell to start for England in Rugby World Cup

Alex Mitchell, who played in all the M&J age groups up to Senior Colts at Lymm, has been selected to start at scrum half for England on Saturday against Argentina – KO 8.15pm.

This match is being shown at the rugby club and all are welcome.

Alex has been a late call-up to Steve Borthwick’s full squad following an injury to Jack Van Poortvliet.

His selection has added some much-needed pace from scrum half to an England team that needs to be at its best to beat a strong Argentinian team, and get through to the quarter finals in October.

It promises to be a great atmosphere at the rugby club following the first team’s home game against Huddersfield – KO 3pm.
