GEOFF EVANS R.I.P. – Funeral Arrangements

Sadly we must report the death of Geoff Evans, who died on Saturday 25th September 2021, following a courageous battle against various illnesses over the last few years.

Geoff was introduced to the club by Dave Meadowcroft in the 1967/68 season. He loved his rugby and quickly established himself as both a player and a popular social character within the club.

He met his wife Vivian at the club and they have a daughter, Louise and a son Michael.

A lovely friend who will be missed by all who knew him. We send our most sincere sympathy to Vivian and all the family.

There will be a one minutes silence in memory of Geoff, prior to the home 1st XV game against Burnage on Saturday 2nd October.

Geoff’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 12th October, 12:15hrs at St Peter’s Church, Oughtrington.Followed by a private family committal at Altrincham Crematorium.

Then the family invite Geoff’s friends to join them at the Bulls Head,  Lymm for refreshments. Unfortunately the Rugby Club is pre booked.
