This weekend, Looseheadz – rugby’s mental health charity – smashed the world record for the longest continuous game of Rugby 7s. Originally set at 24 hours 33 minutes, the new benchmark now stands at an incredible 28 hours, with new records set for both the men’s and women’s games.
Lymm RFC was proudly represented across the event by minis, juniors, players and coaches. William & George Raey, James, Jack and Jonny Cartwright all played their part in the men’s game.
George played a vital role as one of just 12 players on the Looseheadz Black team. Jonny was part of the match official team, with the privilege of being on the pitch at both the start and finish of the record-breaking game.
Meanwhile, William (U9s), Jack (U9s) and James (U6s) were outstanding game makers—running their legs off as ball boys, water carriers, and even keeping players and referees fuelled with sweets throughout!
It’s fantastic to see members of Lymm RFC supporting Looseheadz and the vital work they do for the global rugby community to #TackleTheStigma.
