Lymm RFC launches Girls Rugby

Girls Rugby is being launched at Lymm Rugby Club this September and the full range of age groups are invited.

On Wednesday 9 September 2026, from 6pm to 7pm, girls aged between 4 years old to 13 years old are invited to the Artificial Grass Pitch at Lymm RFC where coaching will be specifically tailored to those age groups.

This will be followed by weekly sessions every Sunday, commencing on Sunday 13 September, between 2pm and 3pm, for all age groups.

In addition girls in Under 11 and Under 12 age groups will combine with the view to developing a team to compete locally with other clubs.

‘We recognise there are lots of girls, across the full age spectrum, who are keen to get involved with rugby,’ commented Ian Cope, head of Mini and Junior Rugby at Lymm RFC.

‘The success of the national Ladies Team is brilliant, sparking interest, and we are keen to build our own teams, from the grass roots upwards, for all age groups,’ said Ian.

‘What’s more we have both superb facilities and the coaching team dedicated to the task. Exciting times,’ he concluded.
