Lymm’s senior rugby section have undertaken a comprehensive review of the 2018/19 season, as is standard practice within the club. Having reflected on both the positives and the areas for improvement from the previous season, the senior coaching team have decided to make some hugely positive alterations to the current coaching set up.

Moving into the 2019/20 season Adam Fletcher will continue his fantastic work as Head coach and Director of Rugby. Adam will be supported by two assistant coaches; former Newcastle Falcons and Rotherham Titans scrum half Andy Davies who will continue as Player Backs Coach, and is looking forward to being able to get a slightly different perspective through pre-season whilst he recovers from shoulder surgery.

The biggest change will see current Sale Sharks and former England U20 hooker, Curtis Langdon stepping up as 1st XV forwards coach. Curtis came in to support the coaching team during the 2018/19 season predominantly focussing on the set piece and had a hugely positive and obvious impact. Curtis has shown a palpable energy for being part of the club, and has a clear gift for coaching and his expertise will no doubt be a valuable to the success of the senior teams next.

John Millington will take on the role of head of a conditioning with continued support from physio Chris Wood and the Your Sport Therapist team.

Lymm RFC recognises the importance of continuing to re-evaluate and to evolve as a club in order thrive in National League rugby. To be lucky enough to call upon the expertise of players with Premiership experience, combined with the experience of playing and coaching across the globe puts the Lymm RFC senior rugby section in a unique and positive position. The whole club is extremely excited for what the 2019/20 season might hold.
