This Weeks Senior Games – Saturday 18th January 2020

There are 3 games at Lymm on Saturday with staggered KO times, so we have continuous rugby from 1.00pm until 4.30pm for those hardy rugby buffs at the club.

Lymm 2’s v Blackburn will KO at 12:45pm

Lymm 3’s v Widnes 2’s Cancelled

Lymm 1st v Billingham will KO at 3pm

Lymm 1st XV are currently 6th in the league on 38pts only 7pts ahead of 10th placed Carlisle. Hot on their heels are 7th Blackburn, also on 38pts, 8th Kirkby Lonsdale, 36pts and 9th Rossendale, 32pts. We have to travel away to play all of these chasing clubs, with difficult fixtures away to Sandal and home to Blaydon looming.

So, bring your medication (and change of trousers) with you on Saturday for our match against league leaders Billingham, should be a cracking game.

Lymm 2nd XV have secured second place in the Cotton Traders Premier League but have a tough encounter at home against Blackurn 2nd XV. If you can make it, your support will be welcome for this game also.

Lymm (3rd’s) Eagles are 13th, in a tough Division 2 South League, where their opposition is mainly club’s 1st or 2nd teams. this week they host Widnes 2’s who are in 10th place.

Zimmers, wheelchairs, oxygen bottles, nurses and local speculative undertakers will be in evidence on the touchline. Plus a fashion show of double padded jock straps, other unmentionable supports, loads of tape and wintergreen ointment will be paraded in the founding traditions of the game. An All Our Yesterdays, not to be missed.
