Lymm Senior Colts 55 – 12 Preston Grasshoppers Senior Colts

The first fixture of the Conference League ‘B’ saw Lymm again pitted against Preston Grasshoppers at home. The first encounter this season had been a resounding victory to Lymm, but with players missing and Preston having shown improvement over the season so far, a different game was expected.

In what again turned out to be an entertaining game played with passion and phyicality, with both teams prepared to keep the ball in hand, rather than kicking and very strong forward play. Lymm had the edge in the set pieces and with some exceptional running play enabling Lymm to cut through their defence, Lymm eventually ran out comfortable winners scoring 9 tries.
