Men at Work at Beechwood

image

Last year, the club acquired the ownership of the ‘Walled Garden’ (formerly a ‘kitchen garden’ for the original Beechwood Hall}, which is adjacent to the new pitch. This year the marquee has been erected there. Club President, Neil Kelly and the Grounds Team, plus a number of other members, have been busy tidying up the approaches to the marquee and surrounds in preparation for the various marquee events.

Power and water supplies needed o be diverted; barriers around the AGP area needed to be erected and the unsightly net fencing on the top of the walls needed to be removed. It is not needed anymore now anyway.

A sterling effort was put in by all the volunteers over 4 days, with a particular thank you to Adam Halford, owner of Beechwood Industries. With his JCB pallet loader he saved a lot of time and effort in taking down two large runs of net fencing in a matter of minutes.

Thankyou
