Sadly we must report the recent deaths of two of our members, Neil Bowler & Nick Price. The club wish to offer their sincere condolences to both families and this coming Saturday, prior to KO for Lymm v Kendal, there will be a 1 minutes silence in their memory.

Neil Bowler was a popular member of the 4th team in the 1990s and early 2000’s and was a very effective flanker. Neil died suddenly whilst taking part in a sponsored Bike Ride from London to Manchester, he was only 52 years old.

Neil is survived by his wife Rachel and their daughters, aged 13 and 11. We are awaiting notification of funeral arrangements.

Nick Price is the father of Rhys who plays for Lymm Senior Colts. For many years, Nick wrote up match reports for the team, his last one only 3 weeks before he died, for the game against Sandbach on Sept 2nd. Nick was only 60 and is survived by his wife Clare, daughter Becki and son Rhys.

Matt Rooney wrote “Nick’s funeral was in Crewe on Monday 8th October. The club will be very proud that all the Senior Colts turned up to attend and support their team mate Rhys and his family. Afterwards they all sat with him for a respectful beer, it meant so much to Rhys, his mum and sister Becki.”

Rest in Peace Neil and Nick.

Thankyou
