Prostate Cancer Support

As I am sure you are aware Liam O’Callaghan a past player of Lymm RFC passed away in January 2024.

Liam’s cause of death was Prostate Cancer of which he had no symptoms, treatment for back pain led to his prostate cancer diagnosis which by then had spread to his spine, hips and thighs. His was diagnosed age 55 and died age 60.

During those 5 years Liam became a  supporter of Prostate Cancer testing with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust among his fellows and the members of Lymm Tennis Club.

As a result of his involvement with Prostate Cancer Support, a day of testing (10am to 4pm) has been arranged at Lymm Tennis Club on Saturday 8th June 2024 for all men over the age of 45. It involves no more than a simple blood test.
