The earlier Blackburn home fixture was postponed due to the weather and was due to be played on Easter Saturday, which was not good for both teams. So they agreed to make this match a Double header. So with this win, Lymm get double league points.

Lymm try scorers, Alfie Simpson x 1, Rory Riddell x 2. Simpson also kicked one conversion.

First half playing into a strong wind, Lymm dominated both territory and possession but were very impatient and undisciplined. They kicked away good possession and give away multiple penalties. Blackburn’s two converted tries came from defensive errors.

Half time 0 – 14

In the Second half Lymm were a different side, Blackburn struggled to get out of their half but defended really well, as they had done throughout the first half. Lymm kicked extremely well to keep Blackburn pinned back in their half. Lymm speeded the game up and all three tries came from good teamwork recycling possession numerous times.

Lymm could have scored more tries but credit must be given to the solid Blackburn defensive efforts.
