Lymm RFC are delighted to welcome prop forward Kurt Riley to the club for the 2020/21 season. “Big Kurt” joins Lymm from Firwood Waterloo, having previously played for West Park and has represented Lancashire Royals. A big, ball carrying forward, Kurt adds plenty of size to the dynamic Lymm pack. Despite his large frame, if early pre-season indication is anything to go by, he is definitely no slouch. The coaching team have already been impressed with his hard working nature, often doubling up on his conditioning to ensure he is fit and firing when the season kicks off.

Forwards coach, Curtis Langdon, has been bubbling with excitement since Kurt joined up with the squad for pre-season training. “I do love me a big front rower” Langdon commented “Kurt will bring extra ball carrying fire power to the pack, but he’s definitely not a one trick pony. We’ve been really impressed with his handling skills and his work rate and we’re excited to see what he can bring to the squad.”

DoR Fletcher was also obviously excited when asked how good it was to bring a player of Kurt’s size and ability into the mix, simply stating “It’s better than Lego!”
