Dear Members and Visitors,
Lymm RFC Club House Closure in response to Covid-19 pandemic
Further to the announcement yesterday from the Prime Minister and the subsequent statement by the RFU confirming that all rugby related activities, including matches and training, will be suspended until 14th April 2020, I am disappointed to inform you that our Club House facilities will be closed for all activities during this period. This will include the use of social spaces, changing rooms, squash courts and gym. All bookings on our AGP have been cancelled by the RFU and no activities will take place during this period.
Our decision is driven by our duty of care and responsibility for the well-being of all our members, at all ages, staff and visitors to the rugby club, a responsibility that we take very seriously. We will continue to follow both Government advice and RFU directives and we will review our decision as the Covid-19 environment develops and this guidance evolves.
This is a very difficult time for all rugby and sports clubs across the UK. Through the efforts of our committed membership we have worked hard over many years to create the very special environment that is Lymm Rugby Club. We look forwards to your continued support and commitment to help us maintain the high standards we strive for both on and off the field of play in the future.

RFU Statement;
Following government advice, the RFU will suspend all rugby activity in England, at both professional and community level.
Rugby activity includes club training, league and cup matches plus rugby education courses for all ages including Mini and Juniors and all seniors from 17 March until 14 April subject to continued review.
The decision has been taken following government advice in the interests of players, coaches, referees, volunteers, supporters and the wider rugby union community.
Where possible, players at all levels are encouraged to maintain their own personal fitness and keep active during this time, while following government guidelines about safe distance and safe exercise environments.
The RFU will continue to review and monitor government advice and will provide detailed updates on the impact to the season in the coming weeks.
